Terms & Conditions

By using Mzansi Marketplace ("Platform"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions, a legally binding contract. These govern your activities as a buyer or seller, ensuring compliance with South African laws, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), and Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. General Rules

  • Be 18+ to register and transact.
  • Keep account details (e.g., password) confidential; report unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend accounts for violations or refuse service at our discretion.

2. Seller Terms

  • Provide accurate business details during registration.
  • Ensure listings comply with CPA (e.g., accurate descriptions, safe products).
  • Handle returns and disputes per ECTA and Platform policies.
  • Link a bank account for Yoco payouts; fees apply per your plan.
  • You’re responsible for order fulfillment; we’re an intermediary.

3. Buyer Terms

  • Provide valid payment and delivery details.
  • Review seller return policies (CPA-compliant) before buying.
  • Inspect products on delivery; report issues promptly.
  • Resolve disputes with sellers first; escalate to us if needed.

4. Payments

  • Processed securely via Yoco; funds held until payout or refund.
  • Refunds follow seller policies and CPA rules.
  • We assist in disputes but aren’t liable for resolutions.

5. Other Terms

  • We’re not liable for transaction disputes or damages, except where required by law.
  • Users indemnify us against claims from their actions.
  • Terms may change; we’ll notify you via email (effective after 30 days).
  • Disputes resolved via mediation/arbitration per AFSA rules.
  • Governed by South African law.
